A few months ago I went to see Chris Kelly’s “Other People.” It’s a great movie about a son named David (Jesse Plemons) who goes home to spend time with his mother Joanne, played by Molly Shannon. A mother who is ill. It was a great film, you should go watch it after reading this, but let me not get sidetracked. In one scene, David talks to his friend Gabe (John Early) about his mother being sick.
To know me is to know that I have a terrible laugh. An awful, reckless, loud laugh. Swinging my arms, throwing my head back and cackling. My laugh is just the worst and I absolutely love it. Don’t get me wrong there is no shame – but it is a horrible laugh. Also I laugh at almost anything remotely funny. Doesn’t take much.
Problem is I don’t laugh as much as I used to.
